Happy Birthday Maritime card

Hello everyone,

Today I would like to share a card that I created using the new Maritime Peel-Offs from Elizabeth Craft Designs. I love these new Maritime Peel-Offs as they are great to use for creating cards for boys. I colored on top of the Cool Diamond Silk Microfine Glitter with Copic markers but you can use any kind of alcohol marker. Let me show you how I created this fun Happy Birthday card!

Maritime

1. Cut blue cardstock 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″. Score and fold in half to create your A2 size card base.

2. Cut light blue cardstock 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″ and green cardstock 3-3/4″ x 5″. Adhere both to card front (green cardstock on top of light blue cardstock).

3. For the small sailboat, anker and sun, adhere a piece of double-sided adhesive to white cardstock. Remove release sheet and transfer peel-offs to the adhesive using the transfer technique shown in this video by Els. Follow all the steps until you are done coloring your peel-offs. Cut out peel-offs.

4. For the large sailboat, cut a piece of white carstock 3-3/8″ x 2-7/8″ and a piece of double-sided adhesive the same size. Adhere adhesive to white cardstock and remove release sheet. Transfer sailboat peel-off to adhesive following the same steps as above. Since we’re not going to cut out this boat, make sure to transfer your peel-off in the center of your white cardstock with adhesive. Color boat. Adhere to card front as shown. Optional: adhere black peel-off border around frame.

5. For sentiment, cut a piece of blue cardstock 2-1/5″ x 1-1/8″ and a piece of light blue cardstock just slightly smaller. Layer and adhere Happy Birthday Peel-Off on top. Adhere to card front as shown.

6. Adhere small boat, anker and sun as shown. Optional: adhere 2 black peel-off borders along the bottom of the card.

I hope you enjoyed creating this fun easy birthday card using the new Maritime Peel-Offs.

Happy Crafting!

I love you Owl

Hello everyone,

It’s my turn to post on the Elizabeth Craft Designs blog and for today’s project I decided to use some of the new dies and Peel-Offs from Elizabeth Craft Designs. I used the Bunch of Flowers 3 and Flourishes and Branches, available at the end of this month and the Owl Peel-Offs in black, available the first week of May. Let me show you how I created this cute “I love you” card.

Owl Joset

1. Cut pink cardstock 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″. Score and fold in half.

2. Die cut one Accordion Oval page from pink pattern paper. Cut out center oval and trim long side tab. Then trim each side of the page slightly. Adhere to card front.

3. Optional: Add Transparent/Silver Glitter Border along the outside.

4. Add Transparent Double-Sided Adhesive to a piece of white cardstock, large enough to fit your Owl Peel-Off plus the little heart.

5. Transfer peel-offs to the adhesive following the steps shown in this video by Els. Once you have applied Silk Microfine Glitter, color peel-offs using alcohol markers.

Owl 2 Joset

6. Fussy cut peel-offs using Fine Pointed Scissors.

7. Die cut 4 flowers and centers using Bunch of Flowers 3 from Pink and Light Pink Iridescent Shimmer Sheetz. Make sure to use your Metal Adaptor Plate for cutting Shimmer Sheetz. Tip: for the flower centers, apply Shimmer Sheetz to Double-Sided Adhesive first before die cutting.

8. Die cut 3 Flourishes using Flourishes and Branches from Green Iridescent Shimmer Sheetz. Tip: apply Shimmer Sheetz to Double-Sided Adhesive first before die cutting.

9. Cut a small piece of white cardstock for sentiment. Apply I Love You Peel-Off.

10. Assemble your card as shown in the picture at the beginning. Adhere flowers, flourishes, Owl and heart Peel-Off. Use foam adhesive for sentiment and heart.

I hope you will enjoy creating your own “I love you” owl card. For more inspiration using the Owl Peel-Offs, check out my second card below. It’s similar but a little bit different. For this card I used the Accordion Rectangle to create the frame and the new Leafy Branch to die cut the branch for the owls. The “Thank You” is cut from Black Velvet Adhesive and I added some black Assorted Border Peel-Offs on the outside of the rectangle frame to finish my card.

I will be posting more samples using the fun new dies and Peel-Offs from Elizabeth Craft Designs so stay tuned!

Asian Vases Pop Up Card

Hello everyone,

Another card I made a little while ago is this Asian theme Pop-Up card. For this card I used the Lots of Pops die and the Asian Vases Peel-offs in black. These Peel-offs have been in the Elizabeth Craft Designs collection for some time, but is still one of my favorites. Let me show you how I created this card.

To create the card:

1. Cut blue patterned paper at 5 1/4 inches x 10 1/2 inches, scored at 5 1/4 inches. Fold in half. This will be your card base.

2. Cut yellow patterned paper at 4 3/4 inches x 10 inches and score at 5 inches.

3. Place Lots of Pops at score line and die cut. Use wash tape (or other low-tack tape) to keep die in place.

4. Pop up the 2 center pops leaving the 2 outside pops flat.

5. Adhere pop-up card to the inside of your card base.

6. Cut 2 pieces of the yellow patterned paper to 5 1/4 inches x 2 inches. Adhere to the outside of the card as shown in the picture below. Also cut 2 scalloped circles using one of the accessory dies from the Accordion Circle Card. Adhere one to the front of the card.

7. Place 1 Flower Vine Peel-off on the front of the card. Add Glitter Dot Peel-offs to the center of the flowers.

8. Cut a piece of white card stock big enough for 2 vases and put double-sided adhesive on top. Remove release sheet and place it upside down on your work table (shiny side up)

9. Place 2 Asian Vase Peel-offs upside down on release sheet (sticky side up). Take your white cardstock and place it with the adhesive side facing down onto the stickers. Take off release sheet and cover the adhesive with Cool Diamond Silk Microfine Glitter. Polish with your finger and use a brush to brush off the excess glitter. Return excess glitter to jar.

10. Color peel-offs with alcohol markers and carefully cut around each vase after coloring.
Add three Glitter Dot Peel-offs across the bottom of the small vase. Adhere vases to the pop-ups as shown in the picture of the finished card at the beginning.

11. Place 1 Flower Vine Peel-off behind the top vase as shown. Peel off some of the leftover negative parts of the leaves from the sticker sheet and place them back in the leaves (one half of each leaf will now be filled in). Add Glitter Dot Peel-offs to the center of the flowers.

12. Die cut Thank You out of Black Velvet Adhesive Sheet and adhere to scalloped circle (the second circle that was cut in step 6). Add a Glitter Dot Peel-off to each scallop. Adhere circle towards the left of the card, as shown. Use double-sided adhesive under the bottom of the circle and foam tape under the top to create dimension. (The circle will tilt up at an angle.)

13. Using the Sticker Transfer Sheet, lift and move the negative parts of the flower from the top vase (leftovers that remain on the Peel-off sheet) onto the card at the bottom right. Watch Els demonstrating the Sticker Transfer Sheet HERE.

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial and thank you for stopping by! Please feel free to leave a comment or ask questions.

Happy Birthday Accordion Card

Hello everyone,

For my first blog post I like to show you a card that I created for the Elizabeth Craft Designs blog a little while ago. For this card I used the Accordion Fancy Label die in combination with my favorite product Peel-off stickers. I also used a few other cool dies designed by Karen Burniston and our ultra fine Silk Microfine Glitter. Let me show you how I created this colorful Happy Birthday Accordion card.

Happy Birthday Accordion FULL

For the Fancy Label Accordion card:

1. Die cut 2 pages out of turquoise cardstock and 1 page out of light green
cardstock.

2. Die cut another page from the light green dotted paper and one from the blue paper with stripes. Both from Graphic 45 Botanical Tea Collection. Cut the side tab from both pages and the Fancy frame on the inside to create just an open frame.

3. Glue the frames on the cardstock pages you cut earlier. Green dotted frame on Light green page and frame with blue stripes on the Turquoise page.

4. Die cut 4 frame edges from light green cardstock and glue them on the 2nd turquoise page. This will be the front page of your card.

5. You can now decorate your pages. The dies to cut the smaller frames on the 1st and last page are included in the Accordion Fancy Label set.

6. After you’re done decorating you can attach the 3 pages together using strong adhesive on the long side tabs. Fold the pages accordion style.

7. Bring the Fancy frames on the inside together and use the 2 small tabs to connect.

8. Ones the Accordion card is ready you can attach the flags.

For more info watch the following Video by Karen Burniston HERE.

Peel-off stickers:

I used several Peel-off stickers to decorate my card. I colored on top of the Cool Diamond Silk Microfine Glitter with Copic markers using the technique shown by Els in this video. I love this technique ash the result is just beautiful. The pictures don’t show it that well but in real life the Peel-offs almost look like stained glass.

The outside of page 2 is decorated with Turquoise/Silver Glitter borders.

Welcome

Hello everyone,

I’ve been meaning to start a blog for a while now and finally it’s here. I hope you will enjoy the projects I post and that they inspire you to create your own. I work for a family company called Elizabeth Craft Designs started by my mom Els van de Burgt in 2011. We specialize in Dies, Peel-off stickers, glitter and tape and I love working with all our products! My favorite product is probably the Peel-offs. They are fun, versatile and I love coloring them. I also really like working with the interactive dies designed by Karen Burniston and I have yet to try the beautiful flower dies from Susan’s Garden collection. I am featured on the Elizabeth Craft Designs blog twice a month and will try and post a new projects on my blog here each week. Please feel free to leave a comment if you have any questions.

Happy Crafting!
