Hello everyone,
Today I like to share a card that I made using the new Foxy Peel-Offs from Elizabeth Craft Designs. It’s a really easy card to create. I colored on top of the Cool Diamond Silk Microfine Glitter. The branch is from the new Lots of Owls Peel-Offs and for the hinges I used Stand Up Helpers 3 – Hinges. Follow my step by step instructions below.
1. Cut dark brown cardstock 5-1/5″ x 8-1/5″. Score at 4-1/4″ and fold in half.
2. Cut light brown cardstock 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″ and adhere to card front.
3. Cut a small piece of dark brown cardstock 1″ x 4-1/4″. We’ll use this later.
4. Apply a piece of Transparent Double Sided Adhesive to white cardstock large enough to fit 2 foxes and the small branch peel-offs. Remove release sheet and transfer peel-offs to the adhesive using Els’s transfer technique shown in this VIDEO. Add Cool Diamond Silk Microfine Glitter. Follow all the steps in the video until you colored all your peel-offs.
I used Copic markers to color my peel-offs but you can use any alcohol marker. For the foxes their skin I used the Y38 and the E19 and I blend the two colors together using my colorless blender # 0.
5. After you’re done coloring, cut out peel-offs using fine pointed scissors. Elizabeth Craft Designs has some awesome fine pointed scissors. See supply list for details.
6. Apply a piece of Transparent Double Sided Adhesive to white cardstock .7/8″ x 4-1/8″. Remove release sheet and cover with Cool Diamond Silk Microfine Glitter. Polish glitter with your finger and brush of excess glitter. Ad Happy Birthday peel-off. Adhere sentiment to dark brown cardstock cut in step 3.
7. Cut 2 hardware hinges using Stand Up Helpers 3 – Hinges from white cardstock backed with adhesive (Note: there are 5 different hinges in this die set). The bottom part of the hinges is a score line so you have to cut this part. Ink hinges with dark brown.
8. Assemble your card as shown in the picture of the finished card at the top. Optional: before you adhere the hinges, add black Border Peel-Offs around frame.
